León’s first weekend at Sphere was a massive success, with the Sonora native bringing out special guests each night. Cody Johnson, The Warning and Jorge Medina joined León for the opener on Sept. 4, Ricky Muñoz of Intocable made an appearance the following night and Kany García was present on Sept. 6.
Last weekend’s three shows were a success, grossing $9,986,405 off 47,094 tickets, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports.
The historic run at Sphere is another milestone for León, who recently curated his own festival, La Cura Fest, in his hometown of Hermosillo and has bridged cultures by weaving country, heartland rock, gospel and other genres into regional Mexican. The Mexican standout was featured on the cover of Pollstar in July of 2024, and his manager, Jorge Juárez, graced the cover of Pollstar’s Artist Management Directory.
WME‘s Kirk Sommer, the agency’s global co-head of music, represents León in all areas.
