Inaugural Red Bull Jukebox In Nashville Allows Fans To Vote On Artists’ Setlist

JUKEBOX UPDATED

Imagine a concert where attendees had a say in what the artist plays during their set. It’s a fan’s dream to have that kind of power, and Red Bull will be giving it to them in a unique experience later this year. The company announced the inaugural Red Bull Jukebox, a new live country music experience taking place Oct. 2 at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater where fans will rule the setlist.

The lineup will feature Grammy Award-winning duo Brothers Osborne, Shaboozey, Priscilla Block, Tucker Wetmore, Muscadine Bloodline, BRELAND, The Castellows and special guests. Ward Guenther of Whiskey Jam will host Red Bull Jukebox and be backed by a house band, which specially curated by guitarist and producer Derek Wells.

“Red Bull Jukebox has created a brand new way to experience a concert – letting the fans vote on our setlists. I can’t wait to see what y’all pick!” Shaboozey said in a statement.

Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, July 12, at 10 a.m. CST and can be purchased on the event website.

Leading up to the concert, the Red Bull Jukebox website will present questions about each artist, and fans can cast their vote across several categories to shape each set. The first vote opened to the public today, and attendees will have a chance to vote live in person on Oct. 2 using their wristbands. Fans can also visit the artists’ social media pages throughout the summer to cast their vote.

An example of what a fan can expect regarding questions curated by the artists is, “What song should Priscilla cover?” Fans are then allowed to vote on one of four songs: Riley Green’s “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” “She’s Country” by Jason Aldean, “You’ll Think of Me” by Keith Urban and Paramore’s “Still Into You.”

“This being Nashville, the potential for surprises around Whiskey Jam and knowing Red Bull’s tendency to surprise — this event has great potential,” Guenther said in a statement. “You never know. Somebody’s always here. Overall, the uniqueness of this event, this being the first Red Bull Jukebox in America, coming to Nashville, Whiskey Jam being involved, is one of the biggest honors we’ve ever had. Nashville has never seen a show like this.”

Red Bull Jukebox is also helping aspiring artists achieve their dreams. Songwriters from Nashville and beyond have submitted a song to the Red Bull Jukebox songwriting competition in the past few months, and the applicants were narrowed down to five. Fans can vote on their favorite on the Red Bull Jukebox website. The winner will be announced at the event on Oct. 2 and awarded an all-expense paid trip to record at Red Bull Music studios in Los Angeles as well as coaching sessions with a music professional.
