Pitbull has long repped his hometown of Miami and now Mr. 305 is putting his money where his mouth is … or at least putting it on the side of a stadium.

Florida International University’s board of trustees voted Tuesday to approve a naming rights deal with the rapper. The five-year deal, renewable for another five at Pitbull’s option, will see FIU’s 20,000-seat stadium renamed Pitbull Stadium.

Under the terms of the deal, Pitbull will pay FIU $1.2 million annually. The stadium has been known as Riccardo Silva Stadium since 2015, under a deal with the eponymous Italian businessman and art director.

ESPN reports the agreement also requires Pitbull to create an anthem for FIU, post about the school 12 times per year on social media and appear at an athletics fundraising event.

In addition, he gets use of the stadium 10 days a year, his Voli 305 Vodka brand will be the preferred vodka at the stadium and he has two reserved suites for football games.

“This partnership with FIU is a true honor and a testament to what we can achieve when we work hard,” Pitbull said in a statement. “Renaming the stadium isn’t just about a name change. It’s about inspiring the community, creating opportunities and showing the world that with determination and a clear vision, anything is possible. We’re making history together, and we’re just getting started. Why dream when you can live it?”

Pitbull will perform at the stadium that now bears his name as part of FIU’s annual Vice Night game Oct. 22 against Sam Houston State. The Panthers don “Miami-inspired” uniforms for the yearly event,.
