Taylor Swift isn’t only releasing new music this fall but also another film. The global mega star will be gracing thousands of movie theater screens in October with “Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl,” an 89-minute film that will feature the world premiere of her first music video for “The Fate of Ophelia” from her highly anticipated album, The Life of a Showgirl. The film will also have behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the music video, as well as commentary on the new music.

The “release party” that Swift referred to as a “dazzling soiree.” All AMC Theatres locations will screen the special event, and Cinemark and Regal theaters will also host screenings. The movie premieres Oct. 3, the same day her new album will be released, and will run throughout the weekend. Tickets for the film are now on sale and will be $12 before booking fees.

Internationally, the film will be made available in more than 100 countries, some of them concurrently with the U.S. release Oct. 3-5.

The new movie and upcoming album are her first major projects since releasing The Tortured Poets Department in April 2024 and concluding her historic “Eras Tour” that same year. Pollstar estimated that her 21-month, 149-date stadium trek grossed $2.2 billion and sold more than 10 million tickets.

She also boosted the movie theater box office by releasing a self-produced,169-minute concert film, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” in 2023. The film shattered records and became the highest-grossing concert film with a $261 million haul worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.

Swift is managed by 13 Management, which is owned by Swift and includes Robert Allen, and promoted by Louis Messina’s MTG.
