Carín León is putting his eclectic taste on full display in his hometown of Hermosillo, Sonora. The Mexican star announced that Alejandro Sanz, Jelly Roll and Grupo Frontera will be headlining his “La Cura Fest,” which takes place March 14 and 15.

The two-day event at Expogan marks the first time León is hosting and curating a festival, and he will be performing on both nights.

The first night will feature Sanz, León, Jelly Roll, Kany García, Kevin Kaarl and Midland. The second night has the same lineup sans Jelly Roll, with Grupo Frontera taking the country singer’s slot. Additional acts for both days will be announced at a later date. Main stage performances will be at Expogan, the secondary stage will be at Palenque.

León, an artist who fuses regional Mexican with genres like heartland rock, gospel, country and folk, aims to deliver an event that celebrates the sounds that have defined his career. He also wants the festival to be a platform for rising artists.

“This festival is a way to open up my heart and share what I’ve kept close, right here in my homeland and with my people,” León said when the festival was announced in December. “We invited folks I admire and respect to create a party where music feels free, without borders. Hermosillo has been asking for a night like this… to catch the vibe together and make some noise from the soul.”

León, who recently signed with WME for representation, is one of Mexican music’s most popular ambassadors, with more than 28 million monthly listeners on Spotify. He played a stadium show in November at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia. The concert promoted by Breakfast Live grossed $1,940,928 off 24,007 tickets, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.
