Indiana Contracts Go Public
According to the contract between CAA and the fair commission, Sugarland was guaranteed $300,500 to perform, $30,000 for sound and lights, $4,500 for catering and 85 percent of the gross box office over $470,000. The contract’s force majeur clause was invoked, and nothing has been paid.
Also included was a clause regarding inclement weather that states “purchaser understands and agrees that ARTIST WILL NOT PERFORM ON A WET STAGE.”
Meanwhile, another lawsuit has been filed in the aftermath of the collapse that killed seven, including a crewmember and security guard.
A suit was filed Aug. 29 against Mid-America Sound, Lucas Entertainment Group, Live 360, Live Nation and EGS Security on behalf of the family of Alina Big Johny alleging gross negligence and recklessness. It’s the second such suit to be filed so far.
