Yet More McCartney Dates

Sir Paul McCartney has been way too good to us today. This morning he announced a second date for New York City at Yankee Stadium (July 16) and now he’s added Detroit, Chicago and Cincinnati to the routing for his “On The Run” tour.

Playing stadiums on this summer outing, McCartney has scheduled Detroit’s Comerica Park for July 24; Chicago’s Wrigley Field for July 31 and Cincinnati’s Great American Ballpark for Aug. 4. A lot of seats to fill indeed, but if a former Beatle can’t put butts in those venues then maybe we’re closer to the End Times than Harold Camping ever predicted.

McCartney began his current touring adventure with his first-ever show in Peru, followed by gigs in Santiago, Chile and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. For those of you keeping track at home, today’s additions have raised the number of upcoming McCartney shows to five.
