Bonamassa To Bring ‘Dust Bowl’ To U.K.

Bonamassa’s fans already know about his North American tour beginning March 2 in Sioux Falls, S.D. The most excellent axeman has now added a fall U.K. run, launching three months after Black Country Communion wraps up its own United Kingdom tour.

A few friends joined Bonamassa for the Dust Bowl recording sessions, including Vince Gill, John Hiatt and Black Country Communion comrade Glenn Hughes. Scheduled for a March 21 release in the U.K. and March 22 in the U.S., Dust Bowl lays down the blues plus also leans toward country with Bonamassa dueting with Gill and Hiatt.

“This is the best album we’ve ever done,” Bonamassa said while doing press for Dust Bowl. “I’m finding more inspiration in storytelling in my 30s, in writing songs that are about something more profound than ‘my baby left me.’ I like albums that are made with the right intentions and sound organic and a little rough around the edges, like a great band playing live in the room, and that’s what we accomplished with Dust Bowl.”

The U.K. “Dust Bowl” tour begins in Blackpool at the Opera House Oct. 15, plays Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena Oct. 16 and stops in Cardiff for a show at the International Arena Oct. 18. Dates also include Plymouth at Pavilions Oct. 19 and two nights in London at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo Oct. 21-22.
