Daughtry’s Terminal Gig
Heaven knows JetBlue could use some good publicity. These days the airline is better known as the former employer of Steven Slater, the flight attendant currently enjoying his obligatory 15 minutes of fame resulting from his cursing out passengers then exiting the aircraft, beers-in-hand, via the emergency chute slide.
Daughtry will perform Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. at JetBlue’s Terminal 5. However, you just can’t show up at JFK expecting to see the show. The 30-minute set will take place after the security checkpoint, meaning only passengers arriving and departing will be privy to the event. However, JetBlue has arranged through various radio partners for 20 lucky fans and their guests to attend the show.
The performance is part of JetBlue’s second annual “Live From T5” concert series. The series, which debuted last year, has hosted several artists including Justin Townes Earle, Alberta Cross, Nicole Atkins, American Princes and Dan Dyer.
