Fall Brings Panic To The Masses
Always a great concert attraction, Widespread Panic did great business on its summer tour, selling out three nights at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre in only seven minutes as well as chalking up three sold-out nights in Chicago.
The fall journey begins at the West Virginia University Coliseum in Morgantown Sept. 17; plays Charlottesville, Va., at the Pavilion Sept. 18 and stops in Baltimore for a gig at the Pier Six Pavilion Sept. 19. Other towns on the routing include Cincinnati, Tallahassee, Miami Beach, Charleston, Kansas City, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.
The band also has a few multiple-nights planned. The Panic plays Atlanta’s Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre @ Encore Park Sept. 24-25, but before that gets underway the band does a 2010 Tunes For Tots Benefit concert Sept. 23 at the Center Stage where VIP tickets include a cocktail party with the group.
Other multiples include a three-night stand in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium Oct. 4-6, two nights in Milwaukee at the Riverside Theatre Oct. 9-10, three shows in Oakland at the Fox Theater Oct. 15-17, two Reno evenings at the Grand Sierra Theatre Oct. 19-20 and three New Orleans gigs at UNO Lakefront Arena Oct. 29-31.
Although a small number of dates are already on sale, upcoming public onsales for many dates begin July 30. For more information, click here for the Widespread Panic website.
