Pink’s Funhouse Bus Catches Fire

One of Pink’s tour buses made an unexpected stop early Monday when the vehicle caught fire while traveling between Munich, Germany and Berlin.

None of the passengers were injured, including the eight musicians onboard. The pop star wasn’t on the bus.

According to Bavarian police, the driver quickly pulled the bus over to the side of the highway and put out the fire with an extinguisher. Authorities later arrived at the scene.

The flames erupted when a particle filter in the exhaust system caught fire at about 5 a.m. because of a technical defect.

The bus was on its way to a Tuesday performance at Waldbühne in Berlin after Pink and her crew played a Sunday show at Reitstadion Riem in Munich.

Pink’s musicians boarded a replacement bus to continue on their trek.

The singer’s European tour includes gigs booked through July 15 with upcoming shows in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, France, Austria and Switzerland. Pink is touring in support of her 2008 album Funhouse.
