The Number Twelve Won’t Look Like You Much Longer
Saying “it’s time to go out with some integrity, dignity and good memories,” the band named after an episode of “The Twilight Zone” depicting a society where everyone must look alike has scheduled one last performance – Jan. 29 in So. Hackensack, N.J., at the School of Rock East.
Why is the band breaking up? Evidently it’s not because of one particular major reason, although one member’s statement indicates the group may have been heading in this direction for quite some time.
“But there comes a moment where one takes a step back and reevaluates what has been built,” guitarist Alexis Pareja said.
“Due to many ongoing issues and the slow deterioration of the band throughout the years, #12 has decided to let this little monster go to sleep.”
But the announcement detailing the band’s last date wasn’t all gloom and doom.
“I can guarantee you that this won’t be the last you hear from all of us, as we will be doing our own music projects beyond #12,” singer and co-founder Jesse “Jase” Korman said. “But let’s keep the #12 legacy living on forever and ever, like its got an Energizer battery in it, it’ll just keep going and going and going and going…”
