Just Like Kanye
Kanye is teaming up with Guru, the “100% natural and organic” beverage, according to Pitchfork.com.
“I express myself through music, fashion, art, and design, and that’s why I am excited to collaborate with Guru; because the brand values what I value, and I can put what inspires me into this new product,” Kanye said in a statement.
Hmmm. I don’t know what energy drinks have to do with music, fashion, art or design, but whatever.
Kanye’s also got a new cologne in the works. People magazine reported that Kanye, along with Jay-Z, Rihanna, and a yet-to-be-announced “well-established female artist,” have all signed deals with Jay-Z’s licensing company Iconic Fragrances. You can smell like Rihanna or Kanye in summer 2010. Jay-Z and the mystery star will release their signature scents into the world in 2011.
Whew. I knew you guys were waiting and waiting for this day. And now it’s OK to guzzle Kanye’s special drink while dabbing on his cologne because he’s working on his ego. Wait, unless everyone lining up to purchase his energy drink and cologne will cause Kanye to have an even bigger ego? This could get messy.
Wait, that’s not all. April 4 Kanye celebrated the release of his new Nike Air Yeezys. Unfortunately for all you Kanye-fanatics out there, MTV.com reported that the shoes flew off the shelves in stores in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Dang.
Now all that’s left is for Kanye to endorse his very own brand of fish sticks.
