Grammys Happen To U2
Wait a second, don’t U2 Grammy performances usually coincide with tour announcements?
U2 and company join previously announced performers Kenny Chesney, Coldplay, Jennifer Hudson, Jonas Brothers, Lil Wayne, Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, Radiohead, T.I., Justin Timberlake, Carrie Underwood, Jay-Z and Kanye West.
This is the first time Robert Plant will attend the Grammy Awards, not only as a nominee but also as a performer.
“I’m looking forward to being in Los Angeles, but musically – and spiritually – I expect we’ll be somewhere halfway between the Mississippi Delta and the Clinch Mountains,” Plant said.
Presenters include Jack Black, Duffy and Josh Groban.
Not to sound like a broken record, but where’s Taylor Swift? Are the Grammy people not reading our material? Hey, Grammys, two words: “Cha-Ching.” The young country star is selling a lot of records, ya’ll.
The show takes place Feb. 8 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
A blast from Grammys past.
