He’s hitting the road in America in support of Never Say Never, an album with a title that might not do much to quash those Faces rumors but that is getting its fair share of positive critical notice.

McLagan & The Bump Band kick things off Jan. 21 at the Hi Tone in Memphis and is routing across the eastern states through March, when he heads to Texas for shows at Houston’s Continental Club and a St. Patrick’s Day gig at the Dog & Duck Pub in Austin.

Just-announced West Coast dates include April 30 and May 1 in Los Angeles at The Mint and March 5 at San Francisco’s Red Devil Lounge.

In between is a CD-release show March 3 at B.B. King Blues Club in New York City, and stops in primary and secondary markets including Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Ohio and Buffalo, N.Y.

Texas in March can only mean a stop at Austin’s South By Southwest music conference and festival, and McLagan’s camp promises showcase info soon along with more West Coast dates.
