Thriving To The Moon
The San Francisco-based group has hit pop radio in a big way with “Angels On The Moon,” which was also an iTunes music video of the week and climbed to No. 25 on Verizon’s Top Ringtone Chart.
The tour begins in Bakersfield, Calif., Jan. 23 at The Dome and will stop at major markets including Los Angeles (The Troubadour, Jan. 30), Orlando, Fla., (Backbooth, Feb. 2), Atlanta (Vinyl, Feb. 9), Chicago (Double Door, Feb. 19), New York (Bowery Ballroom, Feb. 23), and Philadelphia (Theatre Of The Living Arts, Feb. 26).
Other dates include Soul Kitchen in Mobile, Ala., (Feb. 5), Mad Hatter in Covington, Ky., (Feb. 11), The Revolution in Green Bay, Wis., (Feb. 17), Murray Theatre in Salt Lake City (March 18) and Martini Ranch in Scottsdale, Ariz., (March 20).
Since the band’s debut dropped eight months ago, “Angels On The Moon” has been played more than 7.5 million times on MySpace.
The band seems eager to hit the big stage.
“This has been so special, and we can’t wait to get back out there and experience this feeling nightly,” singer Clayton Stroope said in a statement, adding that “if you tell your friends, I can finally upgrade the tires on my ’84 Taurus.”
