Menzel first gained the public’s attention with her role in the Broadway smash “Rent.”
In 2003, her turn as Elphaba, better known as the Wicked Witch of the West, in the musical adaptation of Gregory Maguire’s Wicked scored her a leading-actress Tony.
Stand, which features pop songs and ballads instead of show tunes, was written by the singer and produced by Glen Ballard.
