The all encompassing three-tour, three-album deal means the company will handle all aspects of the band’s career, including recording, touring, merchandising, secondary ticketing, endorsements, web site, fan club and broadcast and literary rights.

Nickelback becomes the fourth act to join the Live Nation roster under a so-called “360 degree deal,” along with Madonna, Jay-Z, Shakira.

U2 has a deal that includes most of the same features, but does not include recordings.

The company also signed an exclusive touring deal with teen sensations the Jonas Brothers.

Live Nation estimates Nickelback’s last tour of North America and Australia sold more than 1.5 million tickets and grossed more than $67 million.
