Escovedo played a series of shows in Colorado and the Pacific Northwest this month, and he’ll be back out West to launch a new leg September 28 in Santa Monica, Calif.

He’ll tour around the state for the next week and a half, finishing with an appearance at San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival October 8. A Southern leg is up next, with East Coast gigs planned for December.

Escovedo released his first studio album in six years, The Boxing Mirror, on Back Porch Records this May. Velvet Underground alum John Cale produced the disc.
