Jam and Cheese
The String Cheese Incident will headline a traveling jam caravan called the BIG Summer Classic 2005 , and brings a rotating cast of artists including Keller Williams, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Yonder Mountain String Band, Umphrey’s McGee, and New Monsoon.
The trek will launch July 2-3 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Denver and continue through at least July 24 at Yale Field in New Haven, Conn.
In between, the BIG Summer Classic will hit open-air theatres, sheds, parks and stadiums such as GMC Stadium near St. Louis; Alexian Field near Chicago; Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Festival Pier @ Penn’s Landing, Philadelphia and Tweeter Center near Boston.
The festival will also make stops at Milwaukee’s Summerfest July 6, the Cicso Systems Bluesfest in Ottawa, Ont., July 13 and the All Good Family Picnic in Masontown, W.V., July 16.
The tour coincides with the release of a new SCI album, One Step Closer, due out June 28th.
