The Tsunami Relief To South Asia concert will take place at the Austin Music Hall in Texas January 9, with Patty Griffin, Spoon, Joe Ely, Alejandro Escovedo, Bruce Robison, and Kelly Willis, and The Geezinslaws scheduled to perform with the Redheaded Stranger.

All acts are donating their time and talent to the event. Proceeds will go to the Red Cross, UNICEF and Doctors Without Borders for emergency relief in the dozens of countries affected by the tsunami.

Organizer Michael Hall rushed to put the show together shortly after seeing footage of the tragedy.

“I started at the top,” he said, “and when Willie said, ‘Count me in,’ I knew we were off and running.”
