Tours de Farce: Start Spreading The News!
We can answer that question with three words – “Everything! Everything! Everything!” as we prepare a set of new features guaranteed to take touring data to the next level and push the concert-info envelope to the max.
First of all, coming January 1, we are going totally digital and hi-def. ‘That’s right. No longer will you need an analog tour date converter in order to enjoy all off your favorite concert itineraries like Motley Crue and Montgomery Gentry. Come the New Year all of our tour dates, including Yonder Mountain String Band, Steven Curtis Chapman and Tommy Stinson, will be displayed in a glorious digital format. Plus, our patented, hi-def tour data transmission service guarantees that each date will appear in a crisp, sharp typeface that will never fade, crack or peel, no matter how many times you look at it.
But digitally presenting dates for the Newsboys and Donavon Frankenreiter is just one of the many new features coming to Pollstar.com. Realizing that the concert economic business model gets more confusing each year, come January 1 we will introduce the world’s first concert ticket buying simulator. A computer-generated virtual reality where you can practice buying tickets for acts like Something Corporate or Duran Duran. You’ll have hours of fun studying virtual schedules to plot your favorite band or artist’s virtual show routing, as you buy virtual tickets with real money. The shows won’t actually exist, the dates will be nonexistent, but the money will be real, and whoever buys the most virtual tickets wins! This is FUN with a capital F!
And finally, the feature everyone has been asking about! For years people have been asking us about the dates we don’t print. Coming January 1, we’re going to lay it all on the line by posting the dates for shows that no one else dares to post. You’ll get Pink Floyd in Kissin’ Kousins, Tennessee, The Rolling Stones in Punctured Goiter, Idaho, and Milli Vanilli in Fish Track, Utah. These are dates that no one else has the guts to print. Coming soon.
Yes, a lot of big changes are coming your way from Pollstar.com as we launch the New Year with new features, new changes and new news. It’s fantastic! It’s terrific! It’s… It’s… Fantanerrific! Log on today!
