After a quick jaunt through the home province, McLachlan’s itinerary dips south of the border for visits in Boise, Idaho; Fresno and Santa Barbara, Calif; Albuquerque, N.M.; and then heads back north into Ontario in May.

Currently, her last date of the tour leg is in Pittsburgh May 25.

The onetime Lilith Fair queen is seeing 2004 out on a high note and grabbing some well-deserved R&R after completing her first North American tour in five years, in support of her double-platinum Afterglow.

McLachlan has been busy on the humanitarian front as well, boosting charity efforts around the globe through her “World On Fire” project, which as has distributed more than $148,000 in aid and is still receiving donations from fans.

Proceeds from “World On Fire” have gone to such organizations as Comic Relief, CARE USA, Engineers Without Borders, Film Aid, War child and Action Aid.

The money has gone to purchase a 12 room-clinic and land deeds in Kenya, as well as cattle, pigs, chickens and ducks for distribution through Heifer International.
