Dirty World
“Sick,” “obscene,” “disgusting” – many a moralizing critic has used such terms when attacking one rapper or another. The difference with Detroit collective D12, though, is that this description is their own.
The unabashedly provocative group just released its second album, D12 World, and will support the effort this summer on a U.S. tour.
D12, also known as the Dirty Dozen, has announced that its most infamous member, Eminem, will not be coming along due to his busy solo schedule. However, rumors are flying of possible surprise appearances by the Grammy- and Oscar-winning rapper.
The tour starts June 19 in Milwaukee, Wis., at The Rave. They’ll hit clubs and theatres in most U.S. markets by the time they wrap July 25 at Toad’s Place in New Haven, Conn.
Group members Bizarre, Proof, Swift, Kon Artis, Kuniva and, of course, Eminem released their first album, Devil’s Night, in 2001. The disc has sold more than four million copies worldwide.
