In the meantime, the band has plenty going on. To start, they’re curating and performing at the April 3 installment of All Tomorrow’s Parties U.K.

April will also see the release of a deluxe 2-CD version of the band’s 1990 album Goo. A retrospective DVD, including the full-length “Goo” video, is in the works as well.

Later this year, a new edition of “1991: The Year Punk Broke,” the documentary of Sonic Youth’s tour with Nirvana that year, is scheduled to be released on double DVD.

In addition to all that, the band is currently working on their new album, and aiming for a late spring/early summer release.
