Weird And Proud
As he enters his third decade as the king of musical giggles, “Weird Al” Yankovic is embarking on a Stateside tour. He’s continuing to support his 2003 album Poodle Hat, which features “Couch Potato,” the infamous parody of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” The rap superstar made headlines for both entertainers when he refused to allow a video for Al’s send-up.
The tour commences March 24 in Akron, Ohio. He’ll play theatres, auditoriums and casinos, mostly in the Midwest and South, through May 2, when the tour is scheduled to wrap with four Florida shows.
Two fair dates in Washington state are also on the books for late September.
Poodle Hat, Yankovic’s eleventh studio album, is up for a Grammy for best comedy album.
