Crooked Rays
The third album in their pocket, Hold On Love finds Azure Ray switching up their sound a bit. Sure, the ethereal aspects that longtime fans love are still in place, but they’ve been mixed with a more upbeat and fuller score.
Now, onto that tour information. The two bands are indeed hooking up for a co-headlining journey, which launches in St. Paul, Minn., November 5 and takes them around clubs all over the States through December 13, where they wrap in Azure Ray’s homebase of Omaha.
Prior to joining forces with Crooked Fingers, Azure Ray have a little outing of their own over in Europe.
Last year was a busy one in Azure Ray’s date book. They spent time opening for Moby – who, incidentally, they collaborated with on “The Great Escape” off his 18 album – over the summer; headlined their own outing with Broken Spindles and Now It’s Overhead supporting; and wrapped with an opening slot for fellow labelmates Bright Eyes’ outing.
