is set to open all shows on the journey, which launches July 1 in San Diego and wraps on the 27th in Boulder, Colo. East Coast dates are expected to be announced.

Also joining the band on the tour is their on-again, off-again drummer, Matt Chamberlain. Chamberlain’s drumming can be heard on a couple of the band’s albums, including Bringing Down The Horse, but this marks his official entry as the band’s road percussionist.

Wallflower fan club members can keep an eye out for presale ticket information, as the band hopes to make special arrangements for their biggest fans. A couple of shows are already on sale through Ticketmaster.

The new dates are only the latest in a year chock-full of shows for The Wallflowers. Warren Zanes and Ron Sexsmith have been along for the ride as opening acts since January.

Late last year, the band hit the road with Ours on the Red Letter Days tour, so named after the The Wallflowers’ latest album.
