Buckner is coming to the States fresh off a string of European shows, including five consecutive German dates at the end of May.

In the past, Buckner has toured with Gillian Welch, Son Volt and Kelly Willis, but it looks like he’ll be winging it on his own this time around.

The San Francisco-based Buckner is supporting his latest release, Impasse, on which he played nearly all the instruments himself. His sole collaborator was his wife, artist Penny Jo Buckner, who lent her drumming talents to the album.
