He’ll wrap the North American leg on June 5 in North Carolina, and take a week off before kicking off his European jaunt at the SONAR festival in Barcelona, Spain. He’s currently scheduled to bounce around the continent throughout the summer, hitting the U.K. for five shows before making his way to Germany, Norway, France, Holland and Belgium.

One Japan show has been announced for July.

The prolific Herren, who has also worked under the monikers Savath + Savalas and Delarosa & Asora, just released his second full-length under the Prefuse 73 alias. One Word Extinguisher, released on the prestigious Warp Records, has garnered rave reviews for its inventive blend of funky breakbeats, melodic electro and glitchy IDM.

In case you’re wondering, Herren says the name for his most well-recognized alias is a reference to “pre-fusion jazz circa 1973.” His admiration for the music of that era stems from what he describes as “an extreme amount of exploration and integration of new sounds drawn from electric and foreign instruments into an otherwise traditional format.”
