The process of choosing the final lineup of his latest group was the voyeuristic theme of the TV program, which aired over the summer.
The lucky guys – Ashley Parker Angel, Erik-Michael Estrada, Dan Miller, Trevor Penick and Jacob Underwood – have recorded a single, “Liquid Dreams,” which they will perform during the Miss America pageant on – guess which network – October 14.
The second season of “Making The Band” is in production and will chronicle the band’s first album, tour and music video.
So far, three concert dates have been lined up between November 15-22 at The NorVa in Norfolk, Va., and at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., near the band’s Orlando base of operations.
In other O-Town news, the band recently signed a record deal with legendary mogul Clive Davis’ new label, J Records.
“Liquid Dreams” is due to be released in mid-October, and the band’s yet-to-be-named album is expected to hit stores early in 2001.
