Ten shows are on the books for the touring rock-and ink-extravaganza, which kicks off July 15 in Portland, Ore.

Opening day is a special show combining the Tattoo The Earth lineup with KUFO’s RockFest, which features Stone Temple Pilots and others. Another unique show happens June 20 when Metallica joins the lineup for at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford N.J.

Fourteen bands are set to play Tattoo The Earth. Slipknot, Sevendust, Sepultura, Nashville Pussy, Slayer, Coal Chamber, Dowset, (hed)p.e., Hatebreed, Mudvayne, Workhorse Movement, Full Devil Jacket, Puya and Famous will take the stage during the day-long event.

And that’s just the musical portion of the festival.

The cavalcade of body artists is just as impressive. Internationally renowned tattoo gurus Sean Vasquez, Paul Booth and Bernie Luther will be on hand to inflict pain and art, as will top-notch body piercing experts. For those looking for less-permanent modifications, accomplished henna artists will be on-site as well.
