Petronas, the Malaysian state oil company that sponsors the Mercedes F1 race, called off the concert attached to the annual Formula One Grand Prix.
The race was last weekend. Petronas, which is the sponsor of the concert, canceled the event “as a sign of respect to the families and next-of-kin of the crew and passengers of flight MH370,” which is believed to have crashed in the Indian Ocean with 239 people aboard.
The concert was going to happen Friday and Saturday nights at the Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers.
