Allman Brothers Band To Stop Touring?
While speaking with Relix magazine, Allman said the band would cease touring on a regular basis after this year.
“This is it – this is the end of it,” Allman told Relix. “45 years is enough and I want to do something else, anyway. Everyone has their own real good respective bands.”
Allman also told the magazine that the band might “get together every five years and just do one play at a time.”
In response to questions about the interview, the band released a statement that doesn’t actually confirm what Allman said. But, on the other hand, it doesn’t deny his words, either.

The “Beacon” reference is to The Allman Brothers’ annual residency at New York City’s Beacon Theatre where the band will play 14 nights in March. At this time all other shows on the Brothers’ calendar are festival gigs with the band hosting the
