Drive-By Truckers Driving Your Way
The alternative country/Southern rock band says its current lineup “boasts a leaner and more powerful live show.” Along with guitarists/vocalists Hood and Mike Cooley, who founded DBT 17 years ago, the group includes Brad Morgan on drums, Jay Gonzalez on keys and guitars, and Matt Patton on bass.
Drive-By Truckers are gearing up to release the act’s latest LP, English Oceans. You can pre-order your copy now through the band’s website.
While you wait for the March 4 release day to arrive, check out the track “Pauline Hawkins” below. The tune, which is the first preview from English Oceans, was the last song Hood wrote for the record. “Pauline Hawkins” was inspired by a character from Willy Vlautin’s latest novel, “The Free.”
