Yovich For Eurosonic Keynote

Ticketmaster International president Mark Yovich has been lined up to make one of the keynote speeches at Eurosonic-Noorderslag Jan. 17.

He’s expected to examine the current state-of-play for the ticketing business, as well as the local and global trends and technologies shaping its future.

Folkert Koopmans, head of Hamburg-based promoter FKP Scorpio, was earlier confirmed as one of the annual conference’s keynote speakers.

The first panels to be announced includes one on how temporary constructions are being improved to cope with extreme weather conditions.

The moderator will be design consultant Carl AH Martin and the panelists will include Stageco Belgium chief exec Tom Bilsen, Tentech chief exec Rogier Houtman and Maarten van Lokven, who manages projects and events at The Netherlands’ Lowlands Festival.

Other panels include “The Future of Cashless Pay Systems,” with Intellitix chief exec Serge Grimaux and Ivan Milivojev, director of Serbia’s Exit Festival.

“Export your product, idea or concept” is a discussion on how suppliers can better export their festival services and will have Mojo Barriers chief exec Cees Muurling, MTD chief exec Hans Verhoeven and ID&T – Sensation event director Eric Keijer.

GreenEvents Europe, which produced its own successful conference in Bonn, Germany, Nov. 24-26, will run a session about energy efficiency in the live music industry.
