Gudinski Lauded, Air Supply Inducted At ARIAs
Frontier Touring managing director Michael Gudinski was honoured with the inaugural ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Industry Icon Award while Air Supply was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the ARIA Awards.

During their speech, Air Supply’s songwriter, Graham Russell, thanked their early detractors in Australia.
“You gave us tenacity,” he said.
The harmony act spun eight Top 5 singles in the U.S. charts and earned A$60 million ($54.65 million) publishing revenue.
Young Sydney dance producer Flume and psychedelic rock band Tame Impala led the wins, with four and three wins respectively.
Among the international performers were Alicia Keys and Lorde.
