Additions: Arcade Fire, Metallica, Bruno Mars, One Direction

Arcade Fire adds a handful of dates to its American tour … Metallica reveals the final round of gigs for its European outing … One Direction schedules a few more North American shows … Bruno Mars expands his “Moonshine Jungle” world tour.

Looks like the hubbub over Arcade Fire’s costume/formal wear request didn’t stop fans from buying tickets. Thanks to “overwhelming demand,” more dates have been added to the band’s “Reflektor Tour.”

Arcade Fire will be sticking around Brooklyn’s Barclays Center for a third night – Aug. 24.

The indie rockers have also added a second show in Toronto. After playing the Air Canada Centre March 13, the band returns to the city to play the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre Aug. 29.

And finally, a new date is on the books in Bangor, Maine, at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion Aug. 20.

Tickets for all new shows go on sale Dec. 13.

One Direction is also dealing with “an overwhelming response for tickets.”

To make its adoring fans happy, the boy band’s “Where We Are” stadium tour now included second shows in East Rutherford, N.J., at MetLife Stadium (Aug. 5); Foxboro, Mass., at the Gillette Stadium (Aug. 8); Chicago’s Soldier Field (Aug. 30); and Pasadena, Calif., at the Rose Bowl (Sept. 13).

Last week the group added additional shows at Toronto’s Rogers Centre (Aug. 2) and Charlotte, N.C., at PNC Music Pavilion (Sept. 28).

Tickets for all new dates go on sale Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. local time. Presale tickets are available now.

Metallica has unveiled the complete schedule for its 2014 European adventure with new gigs in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria and Poland.

As previously reported, the European tour gives fans an opportunity to help choose the nightly setlist. Ticketholders will receive an email with a code to take part in an online vote.

The 17 songs that get the most votes will be played along with one new song picked by the band.
