More Metallica By Request
Last week Metallica announced a first for the band – a series of all request shows. After purchasing tickets to one of the gigs fans will get an email with a code to access a voting ballot for the show’s setlist.
Well, the concerts are almost all request. Metallica, which is sticking with its traditional 18-song setlist, plans on playing a new song as one of the selections. The songs that get the most votes will determine the other 17 tracks on the setlist.
With over 30 years of material to choose from, ticketholders might have a tough time narrowing down their favorite tunes out of nearly 140.
Here are the new dates added to the “Metallica By Request” schedule:
June 9 – Landgraaf, Netherlands, Megaland (
July 3 – Werchter, Belgium, Festivalpark (
July 6 – Knebworth, United Kingdom (
Tickets are available now for Sonisphere Festival. Onsales are scheduled Dec. 7 for Rock Werchter and March 15 for Pinkpop.
