Great White Sues SoCal Club

Members of Great White have filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against the owner of a Southern California nightclub.

The lawsuit filed against the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, Calif., was reportedly triggered because of a freeway sign promoting an Oct. 25 show with Great White.

The booking is actually for former Great White frontman

The lawsuit filed against the Canyon Club who legally performs under the name Jack Russell’s Great White.

Eric Bjorgum, Great White’s attorney, alleges the Canyon Club was notified of the error but didn’t change the sign, which led to the filing.

Russell is not named in the suit.

“We reached this agreement with Jack Russell so that each band could carry on without public confusion,” Bjorgum said in a statement.

“The agreement is unique, and it requires some diligence from everyone involved. “Our main concern is that fans who spend their money know what band they are seeing.”
