FKP Plans Further Expansion
Germany-based promoter FKP Scorpio has upped head festival booker Stephan Thanscheidt to managing director as it plans for further European expansion.

Thanscheidt, who joined the company in 2009, will support FKP chief Folkert Koopmans in the day-to-day running of the business, leaving the latter to focus on further expansion in the European festival market.
In addition to its German HQ, FKP has offices in Amsterdam, Stockholm and Vienna, plus working partners in Denmark and Switzerland.
The company employees more than 100 people throughout Europe. Koopmans and Thanscheidt will both function as managing directors and be supported by a newly formed management team, consisting of the heads of departments for touring, festival production and finance.
The company runs 18 festivals in five countries and organises about 300 tours per year.
The FKP Group, which is part-owned by CTS Eventim, is expected to make record revenues of euro 100 million ($132.8 million) in 2013.
