Kenny Chesney Concert Nets 73 Arrests
Police in Pittsburgh say 73 people were arrested or cited inside and outside of Heinz Field in connection with Saturday’s performance by Kenny Chesney, and medics reported treating 150 people.
A police spokeswoman said officers responded to “at least 10 large fights” but no officers reported any injuries. There were some arrests for disorderly conduct and assault and an arrest for an alleged indecent assault on the concourse.
Police also reported 45 transports to medical facilities and said 150 people were treated both inside and outside with “all reported to be concert-related.”
Also reported were a number of arrests for public intoxication, public urination, and marijuana possession, and 32 arrests for scalping.
Chesney’s annual stop in Pittsburgh on his concert tour draws tens of thousands to the North Shore area.
