Okkervil River Announces Album, Tour
Okkervil River has been having some fun with fans by announcing the name of the new album letter-by-letter during the past week on the band’s official website. Filling in the last letter on Monday, the band revealed the title as The Silver Gymnasium, dropping Sept. 3 on ATO Records.
Tour-wise, Okkervil River will play the First City Festival in Monterey, Calif., Aug. 24-25 and Beantown’s Boston Calling Sept. 7. The bulk of the tour comes a couple of weeks later when the band plays Mobile, Ala., Sept. 19. Last stop on the newly announced schedule is Chicago Nov. 2.
