Scheduled for this weekend, two Maybach Music Group concerts in North Carolina featuring headliner Rick Ross have been canceled, reportedly because gang members have a beef with the rapper.

The North Carolina chapter of the Gangster Disciples apparently has some issues with Ross, according to the Charlotte Observer. The newspaper reports that gang members became ticked off when Ross supposedly “dishonored” one of their leaders and used the gang’s symbols in a “disrespectful manner.”
Gang members posted a video on YouTube warning Ross not to come to Greensboro and Charlotte. Ross was scheduled to play Greensboro Dec. 7 and Charlotte Dec. 8. A Live Nation announcement said refunds would begin today, according to the Observer.
A friend of Ross’, WPEG- FM Power 98 assistant programmer Deon Cole told the newspaper that he thought the rapper and the Disciples should be able to settle their differences.
