Makers of Springsteen documentary ask for input from fans, Juanes & Juan Luis Guerra to donate proceeds from their Barclays Center gig to aid Superstorm Sandy relief efforts, and a Ukraine singer is claiming Carly Rae Jepsen ripped her off.

Juanes and Juan Luis Guerra are the latest performers helping folks on the East Coast recover from the devastation and suffering brought about by Hurricane Sandy.

The music superstars, in partnership with Barclays Center and producer Cardenas Marketing Network, will donate the entire proceeds from their upcoming Nov. 24 concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center to the American Red Cross to aid disaster relief efforts.

“We’ve both been blessed to have had extraordinary support throughout our careers from fans in the New York area and across the Caribbean,” the two Latin stars said in a joint statement. “With so many people from these regions now facing immense hardships, we want to show our deep appreciation by utilizing our music to both raise spirits and more importantly, raise much-needed funds to help them through these times of great need.”

Goya, the presenter of the show, has already donated 300,00 pounds of the company’s products and has provided 25,000 meals for Hurricane Sandy’s victims.

There’s a new documentary in the works about Bruce Springsteen and the film’s makers are reaching out to fans for their own take on the New Jersey rocker.

Ridley Scott Associates, Black Dog Films and Scott Free London are making “Springsteen & I” and have asked fans to submit their “most personal insights, abstractions and reflections” on how The Boss has “affected their lives.”

“We encourage you to be part of this unique cinematic experience by either submitting a clip or getting in touch with us via email or phone,” the documentary’s executive producer Svana Gisla said.

“We are searching for a wide variety of creative interpretations, captured in the most visually exciting way you can think of, whether you’ve been a hardcore Tramp since ’73 or heard one of his songs for the first time today! If you have a parent, a sibling, a neighbor or a colleague who has an interesting tale, we want to know about them. If you can’t use a camera or are not sure how to capture your story then get in touch and we will link you up with someone who can.”

While producers are asking for the best video quality possible, they will consider footage shot on a variety of platforms, including cell-phone videos as well as high-end film cameras. However, there is one carved-in-stone requirement – submissions must be under five minutes in length.

Sometimes it seems as if every popular song eventually provokes a lawsuit and this time it’s Carly Rae Jepsen’s turn to be in the legal spotlight.

Ukraine singer Aza claims Jepsen’s smash hit “Call Me Maybe” is actually a copy of her “Hunky Santa” tune, reports TMZ. According to the celeb-gossip site, Aza filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles against Jepsen and has named Justin Bieber manager Scooter Braun in the suit. Jepsen is signed to Braun’s Schoolboy Records.

“I’m shocked and surprised that these people wanted to sample my lyrics on their song. They didn’t ask for permission, they just took it,” Aza told TMZ. “That’s why I filed this lawsuit. When I first heard it on the radio, I was driving and almost got into an accident. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.”

A Jepsen representative told TMZ that the claim was “completely false” and that Canadian Jepsen doesn’t “spend a lot of time listening to Ukrainian radio.”
