In addition to the above acts, the evening will feature surprise musical performances. Jimmy Fallon and Jake Gyllenhaal will appear at the event along with more special guests to be announced.
Actress, producer and Newman’s widow Joanna Woodward is hosting the event, which is supported by Newman’s Own Foundation, produced by Kevin Duncan and directed by John Rhodes.
Ticket sales benefit the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, which provides camps and programs for children with serious illnesses and their families. Founded by Newman, the non-profit organization is made up of 14 member camps worldwide, including eight in the United States, five in Europe and one in Israel, as well as 10 programs in Africa, Asia and South America. Since 1988, the association has served over 350,000 children and families. Hole In The Wall Camps depend on private funding to serve all children free of charge.
All net royalties and profits from Newman’s Own products are donated to charity. Newman and Newman’s Own Foundation have given over $340 million to thousands of charities around the world.
The 2010 Celebration Of Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Camps raised more than $3 million. The event featured performances and appearances from Renee Zellweger, Bette Midler, Bill Cosby, Stevie Wonder, John Mellencamp, Emmylou Harris and Lyle Lovett.
Show-only tickets for the 2012 event are on sale now through the Lincoln Center Box Office, priced at $35. Benefit tickets including a post-performance supper begin at $1,500 and are on sale through the benefit office at 212-245-6570 or by emailing [email protected].
