Springsteen / E Street Band Dates Announced

Less than 24 hours after announcing a new E Street tour, Bruce Springsteen reveals four England dates for 2012.

According to an announcement posted on BruceSpringsteen.net the Boss and his E Street comrades will play Europe “from the middle of May until the end of July” and that U.S. and world dates will be announced soon. Hours after the message appeared, four dates – three for June and one for July – appeared on the site.

The announcement also said that an untitled album is “almost done.”

So far there are only U.K. dates on the schedule – Sunderland at Stadium Of Light June 21; Manchester at Etihad Stadium June 22; Isle Of Wight Festival June 24 and London’s Hard Rock Calling festival July 14.

At this time there is no word as to who will replace E Street Band saxophonist Clarence “Big Man” Clemons who passed away June 18 from complications from a stroke he suffered June 12.

Clemons is the second E Street member to enter the Great Beyond. Organist Danny Federici died from melanoma in 2008. Keyboardist Charles Giordano, who played with Springsteen during the “Sessions” tour, has been playing with E Street since shortly before Federici’s death.
