More Arrests In Walnut Creek Robbery
Adjani Jari Bryant was caught the day after the July 13 robbery and faces six counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, and five counts of second-degree kidnapping, according to WNCN-TV. The five others face various charges including six counts of robbery, five counts of second-degree kidnapping, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of stolen property and drug charges.
A victim told a 911 dispatcher armed robbers took $500,000 from the Walnut Creek Amphitheatre about 11:30 a.m. The caller says three suspects came in with guns and wearing masks, took the cash then wallets and cell phones from employees before fleeing on foot. Other new details from officials include a Walnut Creek worker was pistol whipped in the back of the head and the only woman – Kianna Lynn Baker who is the mother of a suspect – allegedly helped two escape and had possession of the key to the safe that held the money.
In addition to the arrests, detectives are said to have recovered additional currency believed to be connected to the robbery, WNCN-TV said. The investigation is ongoing.
