Jazz Summers Dies
Jazz Summers, who managed bands including Wham!, Snow Patrol, and The Verve, died at the age of 71 following a two-year fight with lung cancer.

Summers enrolled in the army as a teen and lived in Hong Kong and Malaysia before forming management company Big Life and its companion label with Tim Parry in 1986.
Over the years, he worked with artists ranging from Boy George to Lisa Stansfield, De La Soul, and Scissor Sisters, among others.
Summers served as chairman of the Music Managers’ Forum, was awarded the organization’s Peter Grant Award in 2003, and published his autobiography, Big Life, in 2013.
