Ginger Baker & David Crosby On Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp
The old saying about how “opportunity never knocks twice” could very well describe 2015’s Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp set for Nov. 5-8 in L.A. It’s not every day you get to rub musical shoulders with the drummer for Cream, Blind Faith, Masters Of Reality and Airforce – the one and only Ginger Baker.
Joining him will be the “C” in CSN and CSN&Y – David Crosby. The two-time Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer brings five decades of experience to the camp, including his time in The Byrds as well as his experiences as a solo artist.
But wait, there’s more. Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp counselors include original Chicago drummer / founding member Danny Seraphine, former KISS guitarist and current Grand Funk Railroad axeman Bruce Kulick, Rudy Sarzo of Quiet Riot and Whitesnake fame, Ty Dennis whose credits include working with The Doors via Manzarek-Krieger and The Robby Krieger Band, Kane Roberts (Alice Cooper) and Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot).
Along with first-class instructions, tips and demonstrations, the Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp will culminate with students performing on stage at West Hollywood’s famous Whisky A Go Go nightclub. Needless to say, you won’t find an education like this at, say Harvard, Yale or MIT.
And don’t worry if you’re not the best musician on your block. According to producer/Fantasy Camp founder David Fishof, the “Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp offers a non-competitive environment that is open to all levels of musician and music enthusiasts.”
